Our Policies

E-Commerce Orders

We are adding product frequently and updating our online inventory. If the product is not in stock when you order, a sales consultant will contact you and either suggest a similar product, or tell you when the product you ordered will be in stock. If an item ordered cannot be shipped within your deadline, we will gladly refund your money.

Financing

Don’s Jewelry & Design offers no-interest financing through Synchrony Financial and Iddeal credit cards. See store for payment plan options. 

Layaways

Don’s Jewelry & Design offers a 90 day layaway plan for any item you desire. We do require an initial 20% deposit of the total purchase price including tax. A monthly payment is required. After the initial deposit, any layaway cancellation will result in forfeiture of deposit and any other monies paid.

Special Orders

Special order jewelry is not returnable and no refund or exchange can be made. All special orders require a 50% nonrefundable deposit. A special order includes any jewelry, gemstone, watch, or gift item ordered or altered at the client’s request.

Custom Work

All custom jewelry is nonrefundable and requires a 50% deposit before the work begins. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client’s complete satisfaction.

Appraisals

We are happy to provide you with a free insurance appraisal on your purchase. Appraisals are performed by our Graduate Gemologist trained by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). 

We perform written appraisals appropriate for an insurance appraisal, estate appraisals and current market value appraisals. Each appraisal comes with: 

  • Detailed description (2 copies: 1 for your insurance and 1 for you to keep).
  • A picture of the piece of jewelry.

Gift Cards

We offer gift cards in any denomination.

Exchanges and Returns:

Your purchase may be refunded within 7 days from the original purchase date when accompanied by the sales receipt. Exchanges may be made within 30 days of purchase. The merchandise must be unworn, in original condition, and in the original gift box with all warranty cards and explanation booklets intact. Sales items, special orders, completed layaways, modified and/or custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash. Credit card sales will be credited to your credit card used at time of purchase. Cash sales will be paid by a company check. Check sales will be paid by a company check, 14 days from deposit date.

Cleaning and Inspections

We recommend bringing us your jewelry for inspection every 6 months. We will inspect the prongs to help prevent any possible damage or loss of your gemstones. This inspection service is free.
